Peach Cobbler Trifle

Thank you to Jen Hurst, my favorite food blog friend, for creating this heavenly dessert! I made it for my Birthday because I have such a passion for fresh peaches.

2 small pkgs vanilla instant pudding
1 Cup sour cream
1 1/2 tsp orange zest
1/2 Cup powdered sugar
2 Cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 loaf pound cake
4 Cups diced fresh peaches

CRUMB MIXTURE
1 Cup graham cracker crumbs
3/4 Cup sugar
1/4 Cup quick oats
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
dash of clove
6 Tbsp melted butter
*Stir together well and spread on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees until lightly golden, appox 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.

Cube cake into small bite size squares, set aside.

Whip eavy whipping cream until peaks form. In a seperate bowl whip milk, pudding and orange zest together until thick. Fold in sour cream and once smooth fold in whipping cream.

Wash and slice peaches, stir in 1 Tbsp lemon juice and 1 Tbsp sgar to keep them from browning. Set aside.

In a Trifle dish layer cake, pudding, crumb mixture, peaches and repeat until dish is full. Top with fresh peaches and whipping cream, or make some Redi Whip peaks like I did, then garnish with the cobbler topping. Peaches can brown easily so serve within a few hours of chilling.
