Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding
This is a Paula Deen (food network) recipe. It was absolutely divine and incredibly easy. I love no-bake desserts for occasions when you're busy making a big meal and need to have a smiple dessert that can be made hours ahead. This is also an easy recipe to half.
2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen Cookies (picture below)
6 to 8 bananas, sliced
2 cups milk
1 5 oz. box instant French vanilla pudding
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 12 oz. can Cool Whip, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream
Line bottom of a 9x13 pan with 1 bag of cookies and put bananas on top. Blend milk with pudding mix well with a handheld electric mixer. Beat cream cheese and condensed milk together in a bowl until smooth; fold in whipped topping. Add to pudding mixture, stirring until well blended. Pour mixture over cookies and bananas; cover with remaining cookies. Refriderate.
