Ground Beef Stroganoff

My favorite way to make stroganoff is with left over roast, but this ground beef version from www.realmomkitchen.com was just about as good! I think the secret is using fresh mushrooms and homemade style noodles.

1 lb. hamburger
1 (10 3/4 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 pkt brown gravy mix (plus water according to pkt directions)
1/2 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp. chopped onion
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
1/2 lb. fresh, sliced mushrooms
Egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes

Brown and cook hamburger with chopped onion, salt and pepper. Drain off grease but leave a little to saute mushrooms in. Then add cream of mushroom soup, gravy mix (plus water according to packet directions). Mix together and simmer over low heat about 10-15 minutes. Serve over the carbs of your choice!
